Dear Valued Customers and Stakeholders,

The intent of this email is simply to provide you with an update on Anderson Fabrics and our valued workforce. As many parts of our country (including our county here in Minnesota) have been experiencing a significant surge in COVID-19 cases, our facility and organization has remained relatively unscathed. However, we have recently taken additional precautions and requirements relating to self disclosure and communication from our employees. These additional precautions has prompted many employees to remain at home until they receive a COVID test and confirm they are not positive.

I don't suspect there is any reason to become overly alarmed, however, these new precautions have begun to affect our daily capacity to a modest extent. Currently, we still feel confident to adhere to our committed lead times and delivery dates. My fear is simply how long will this go on and will it get worse. Thus, I wanted to be transparent and open with you and your organization.

Caring for our workforce and their families remain a top priority of Anderson Fabrics, and I trust you are doing the same with your employees and co-workers. I will continue to keep you abreast of any changes within our organization going forward. In the meantime, stay well and thank you for your business.

All the best,
Hans Halvorson

Dear Valued Customers and Collaborators,

As the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has embraced the world and created unrest in nearly every facet of our lives, I wanted to share with all of you that Anderson Fabrics is taking ongoing steps to ensure the safety of our employees, continued service for our customers, and the viability of our company.

It is through our care for each other and care for the work we accomplish that helps us to diligently initiate solutions to move forward through this difficult time.

We have been monitoring the latest information from official federal and local government sources and have established in-house mandates and temporary policies for employees and visitors, including but not limited to:

  • Postponing all company-related travel
  • Multiple full-time employees dedicated to continual surface cleaning. Plus, additional sanitizing locations throughout our entire facility.
  • Excused time off due to sickness, including staying home to care for sick family members
  • Ability to care for children at home due to school and/or daycare closings and to work remotely where possible

While the nearest confirmed case of COVID-19 is over 200 miles away from our production facility, AFI's initial challenge will be staffing and overall production capacity. As we follow CDC recommendations to send home anyone with a fever, cough or congestion, we are facing increased absenteeism rates in our facility. Further, due to school/daycare closings, many more of our 280 employees will be required to be home with children. So while we are currently managing order volume effectively, I suspect our capacity will be affected to some degree shortly. Should lead time need to be extended, you will be the first to know.

We will actively keep you updated during this situation where things can change on a day-to-day basis.

Call or email us if you have any questions or concerns: 800-328-1791 or info@andersonfabrics.com

Rest assured, the best is yet to come.

Sincerely,

Hans Halvorson
