Anderson's History

Anderson Fabrics is a nationally known COM (Customer's Own Material) workroom in Blackduck, Minnesota that has been making custom products for interior designers and decorators since 1980. Ron and D'Ann Anderson started the business making custom-fit, pinch-pleated draperies with a half-dozen people and seven sewing machines in the basement of an old bowling alley. The designer would ship fabric to our workroom and we would ship back the completed order. Anderson Fabrics became an ESOP - an employee owned company in 2002.

Anderson's Workroom Today

We now have over 300 dedicated, talented, and skilled employees. Today, Andersons is the largest workroom of its kind in the United States with an operation area over 135,000 square feet. Our custom made products include draperies, valances, swags, shades, bedspreads, table linens and many other fabric accessories.

We are recognized as the custom workroom of choice for many design competition winners. Our business has grown based on our reputation, and without a sales and marketing team. This growth is because designers have recognized our highly competitive pricing, quality workmanship, and our philosophy of "if you can design it we can make it." Now we have the best lead times in the industry.
